Auditions are coming up soon for “A Christmas Carol” the musical. We are welcoming actors of all ages and experience level to be part of the show. The show has parts of all sizes from “Scrooge” on down to never having to speak a line by yourself. If you have ever wanted to try theatre, this is your chance! No one will be turned away because of ability. The only reason you will not be allowed to participate is scheduling difficulties. Most schedules can be accommodated though!

Auditions are September 27 from 6:00 until they get over, but people will be allowed to come as late as 8:00 and still get a chance to audition. The auditions will take place at the Charlotte Church of Christ, lcoated at 64 Vansickle Drive in Charlotte. (This is just south of Bennett Park, north of Kalamo Hwy.)

The tentative rehearsal schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

You can come as prepared as you would like for auditions. The song listed is the piece that everyone will sing. It will be taught at auditions, so if you don’t know it don’t fret! Every person will sing and do a “cold read” from the script. There will also be a short dance audition for anyone that is interested in being a featured dancer. Not all roles require dance, so if you don’t dance you do not have to do the dance audition. If you are not interested in a solo part and are uncomfortable singing by yourself then you do not have to sing alone at auditions.

There will also be “call-backs” for specific roles. This will include more singing and acting as we try to fit together the best possible cast.

You will have to fill out the audition form. You can fill it out ahead of time or you can fill one out at the auditions.  You can download it here: Audition Form

There will also be many roles behind the scenes. If your interests lie more with the technical side of a production, let us know! We welcome all who are interested!

We look forward to working with you this fall! Spread the word, the more the merrier!

Andromeda Community Theatre is a fledgling non-profit community theatre organization based in Charlotte, Michigan, proudly and charitably serving Charlotte and the surrounding communities. We began in the summer of 2014, and produced our first show in December - “It’s A Wonderful Life”!  That was followed by “To Kill A Mockingbird” presented in the 1885 courtroom at the Courthouse Museum in Charlotte, “Dracula” performed in the Haunted House at The Country Mill in Charlotte, and “Love Letters” performed at the Eaton Area Senior Center.
